Although water conditions have changed the fishing has remained good and it seems water flows are having a big impact right now. The Corp is sluicing through the week and cutting back to the orifice gates and adding the oxygenators in on weekends. The weekend fishing has been a little better overall, but the boat […]
It’s been a one of the best springs/early summers to be on the Cumberland River. Great water flows and good weather although last weekended the great weather ended. Jamestown and Burksville received 6-10 inches of rain which have the river running backwards for about 6 hours until some of the heavy runoff could make it’s […]
The Cumberland River has been fishing excellent over the last couple of weeks. Tva has been sluicing and with the added oxygen, it has created some great fishing. The best fishing has been from the dam to Winfrey’s Ferry and pheasant tails and mop flies have been working well.
The Cumberland has been fishing good, but has slowed down a little over the last couple of weeks. Water is clearing up and fish are starting to spook a little from boats and anglers. Trout don’t seem to have moved up to the banks yet but I am starting to get looks and takes on […]
I was able to get a couple of guide trips in before the rain hit a two weeks ago and the fishing was fantastic. At that time I was not seeing any cicadas and fish were coming on traditional nymphs like pheasant tails. I have seen a Instagram post since then and have been told […]
With the lack of any heavy rains TVA has been running some good weekend schedules and the fishing is turning on. Saturday was little windy so, I not able to hit all the sections I wanted but was still able to net several nice rainbows. Traditional flies were working the best: pheasant tails, princes, frenchies […]
The Cumberland river still has been fishing well into late fall. Colder weather is moving in this weekend, but there might be some opportunities to get on the river next week. Bigger flies are working well along with pheasant tails and zebras.
The Cumberland River is still fishing well and generation schedule is still looking good most days. Trout are still taking phesent tails, princes and zebra midges. Smaller flys are working the best. Still plenty of time to book a guide trip on the Cumberland River.
The river is fishing better everyday now that the TVA has added some oxygen to the river. Now is the is the time to get out and fish. Flys: Princes, Zebras and Phesent Tails.
The Cumberland has been fishing well. Netting a lot of small fish with some 18s in the mix. Flys: Pheasant Tales, Princes, Soft Hackles and Zebras all have been working well.
