It’s been a one of the best springs/early summers to be on the Cumberland River. Great water flows and good weather although last weekended the great weather ended. Jamestown and Burksville received 6-10 inches of rain which have the river running backwards for about 6 hours until some of the heavy runoff could make it’s way down river. It took a few days but the river is working its way back to fishing good again. From above Big Willis has cleared up and fishing good, but below Big Willis to Burksville the water get cloudy the further you go down river and fishing is not as good. It should be in much better shape by this weekend. Seeing some great hatches right now: Sulfurs and Bwos later in the day, but the midge hatch has slowed due to the flooding.
