I was able to get one last trip two weeks ago before the Easter Kentucky floods caught up with the Cumberland river and the river fished really good, and I was one of a few boats on the river so what a perfect day. The current lake level is 715.09 and is about 5 feet over last year so we will see heavy generation for several more days, but the river might be fishable this weekend. Looks like the tva is sluicing now so that will add some volume to the the river over night when they start pulling back on the water flow. Small flies like Zebra’s have been working well when the water has fallen out and then move to bigger flies like the mop when the water is still high. Starting to take a few fish on top water so keep a rod set up with a Hopper or Cicada pattern. If you interested in booking a trip get a hold of me soon, I am filling the Calendar up pretty quickly.
