It’s has been a while since I updated a fishing report, so I thought I better get busy and get one up! Fishing has been on and off since December with a few good days each month. Last Saturday fishing was pretty consistent most of the day and I netted four slot fish for my client and we lost four before we could get them in the net so over all pretty good day. Fishing has been best from Blackfish creek down to Winfreys, with the most consistent fishing around the Helms area. Pretty standard flys have been working for me, hairs ear, pheasant tails and zebra midges. Seeing some caddis, midges and sufur hatches the last couple of weekends. Weekends are the best water flows right now for the upper section, but the lower sections should start fishing soon and that will open up some weekdays. Now is the time to book a guided fly fishing trip on the Cumberland River!
